Getting Chipped & Biometrics

VeriChip: This chip is not Science Fiction, it is real and plans to use it are progressing.

Using an ordinary hypodermic needle, doctors will implant it

This is a picture of the chip being used and how it is inserted – NOW – at a famous Baja Club in the Caribbean.

This club is for the worlds elite.

It is being used to purchase enmities since there is no place for a wallet in their “modern” swim suits! So the chip serves as “MONEY” The dimensions as shown are 2.1 millimeters deep by 12 millimeters long.

Revelation Chapter 13 Verses 1-18

[enlarged chip picture compare to one with needle above!]

“1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man  have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;  saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it ; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

Farmers fight EU plans to micro-chip tag 30 million sheep

Revolt erupts over proposals ordering electronic identity for every animal

Britain’s sheep farmers are on the brink of revolt over European commission proposals ordering them to electronically tag and identify every single animal in the 30 million-strong national flock.

They claim the move will devastate the industry and could force farmers on to the streets in protest if Brussels insists on imposing regulations they claim are “crazy” and “unnecessary”.

The regulations, to be introduced in January next year, mean each sheep must be fitted with an electronic ear tag.

Humans ‘will be implanted with microchips’ prominent academic says

All Australians could be implanted with microchips for tracking and identification within the next two or three generations, a prominent academic says. Michael G Michael from the University of Wollongong’s School of Information Systems and Technology, has coined the term “uberveillance” to describe the emerging trend of all-encompassing surveillance.

“Uberveillance is not on the outside looking down, but on the inside looking out through a microchip that is embedded in our bodies,” Dr Michael told ninemsn. Microchips are commonly implanted into animals to reveal identification details when scanned and similar devices have been used with Alzheimers patients.

US company VeriChip is already using implantable microchips, which store a 16-digit unique identification number, on humans for medical purposes. Another form of uberveillance is the use of bracelets worn by dangerous prisoners which use global positioning systems to pinpoint their movements.

But Dr Michael said the technology behind uberveillance would eventually lead to a black box small enough to fit on a tiny microchip and implanted in our bodies. This could also allow someone to be located in an emergency or for the identification of corpses after a large scale disaster or terrorist attack.

“This black box will then be a witness to our actual movements, words — perhaps even our thoughts —-and play a similar role to the black box placed in an aircraft,” he said. He also predicted that microchip implants and their infrastructure could eliminate the need for e-passports, e-tags, and secure ID cards.

“Microchipping I think will eventually become compulsory in the context of identification within the frame of national security,” he said. .

SORRY BUT THERE WAS NO SIGNIFICANT NEW INFO UNTIL NOW!

New RFID Technology Allows You to be Tracked Without Your Knowledge

NOX is a new Intelligent Perimeter Defense system deployed by the FBI that uses covert Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to track people and assets without their knowledge.

RFID readers are hidden inside walls, floors, and ceilings; RFID tags are discretely placed; and only the security personnel know that the system is in place – until the thief gets caught.

New ID Scanners Can View Documents Through Your Car, Clothes Up To 50 Feet Away

The federal government has already deployed new detection machines that can scan citizens without their knowledge from as far as 50 feet away and “read” their personal documents such as passports or driver’s licenses.

The Homeland Security Department touts the high-tech devices as increasing security at border crossings, but privacy advocates are raising all sorts of red flags.

Critics say the new machines, which read one’s personal information right through a wallet or purse, do so without consent or a warrant and may set a worrisome precedent.

The devices, called Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) machines, allow officials to read remotely any passports, pass cards, and driver’s licenses that contain special chips with personal information.

The RFIDs are so sensitive that, even before a vehicle pulls up at a border checkpoint, agents already will have on their computer screen the personal data of the passengers,

including each person’s name, date o f birth, nationality, passport or ID number, and even a digitized photo.

The new gadgets are in place, or soon will be, at five border crossings: Blaine, Wash.; Buffalo; Detroit; Nogales, Ariz.; and San Ysidro, Calif.

New machines scan IDs at US border crossings

A U.S. government official places a new U.S. passport with an embedded electronic chip into a book printer.

Agents along the Canada and Mexico borders are using a controversial new machine that can “read” the personal information contained in some government-issued ID cards —

…such as passports and driver’s licenses — as travelers approach a checkpoint.

The Homeland Security Department says the new practice will tighten security and speed the flow of traffic.

Privacy advocates say the technology could make Americans less secure because terrorists or other

criminals may be able to steal the personal information off the ID cards remotely.

U.S. starts border PASSport RFID checks in moving vehicles

RFID technology that allows remote identification of travelers in moving vehicles has started at U.S. land border crossings this month.

Researchers find problems with new RFID passport cards

The information in these tags could be copied on to another, off-the-shelf tag, which might be used to impersonate the legitimate holder of the card if U.S. Department of Homeland Security agents at the border didn’t see the card itself, the researchers said.

Another danger is that the tags can be read from as far as 150 feet away in some situations, so criminals could read them without being detected.

Although the tags don’t contain personal information, they could be used to track a person’s movements through ongoing surveillance, they said.

Can Mark Of the Beast Technologies in retailing really take off?

Companies have been experimenting for well over a decade with the use of physiological biometrics – unique physical characteristics like fingerprints – as a means to identify individuals.

In retailing, the applications drawing the most attention… is using biometrics to securely link a shopper’s bank account, payment cards or loyalty card to finger measurements and data points.

Shoppers will no longer have to carry payment or loyalty cards.

It is purported that adoption of the technology will help them combat fraud and identify theft.

With the proper hardware, the solution works online too. It gives Internet users a fast, easy and secure way to identify themselves and interact on the Web. By simply sliding a finger on a sensor, users can securely access their Web-based accounts with no need to remember IDs, passwords and account numbers.

Shoppers to use wave of the hand micro-chip to pay for goods

Barclaycard has announced it is investing a seven-figure sum in “contactless payment” technology

The futuristic systems, like those used by Tom Cruise in the science fiction film Minority Report, are being developed by scientists for Barclaycard.

The company has announced it is investing a seven-figure sum in “contactless payment” technology.

This allows customers to use a micro-chip implanted in their hand or everyday items they carry around with them – such as mobile phones, key fobs or even their eyes, hands or fingerprints – to make payments.

It means shoppers will no longer have to rely on cards.

Barclaycard, which is part of Barclays, has already introduced a new-style cash machine in the United Arab Emirates enabling people to use their fingerprints to withdraw money and shoppers in the UK may soon be able to use the same technology.

Antony Jenkins, chief executive of Barclaycard, said: “It’s possible we’ll see an end to plastic in the next five to 10 years with new technologies to take its place emerging now. It could turn out to be one of the shortest lived payment methods in history, going from being ubiquitous to a museum piece in the same way as the video cassette.”

Barclaycard also aims to have one million customers upgraded to its contactless payment system OnePulse by the end of the year. OnePulse enables people to buy items for less than £10 by touching their card against a sensor, without even having to take it out of their wallet. It

can also be used as an Oyster card on London transport.

Barclaycard said people may soon be able to hover their hand or mobile over the price label of an item in a shop, confirm their purchase and take it away without having to go to a checkout or get a receipt.

Mr Jenkins said: “If I had said to you 10 years ago that you couldn’t pay with a cheque at the supermarket, you wouldn’t have believed me. That is now the reality, and we see plastic cards going the same way eventually.”

Farmers See ‘Mark of the Beast’ in RFID Livestock Tags

A group of community farmers, some of them Amish, are challenging rules requiring the tagging of livestock with RFID chips, saying the devices are a “mark of the beast.”

Michigan and federal authorities say the radio frequency identification devices (RFID) will help monitor the travels of bovine and other livestock diseases.

“Use of a numbering system for their premises and/or electronic numbering system for their animals constitutes some form of a ‘mark of the beast’ and/or represents an infringement of their ‘dominion over cattle and all living things’ in violation of their fundamental religious beliefs,” according to the farmers’ lawsuit filed Monday in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Rich Mexicans turn to microchips to halt kidnappers

Kidnapping is big business in Mexico these days, with the incidence rate about 40% higher since 2004, now hitting about 6,500 abductions a year.

The wealthiest are turning to technology for protection, by implanting tiny transmitters under their skin. A company caled Xega is now selling a small chip about the size of a grain of rice, which reportedly transmits location information to a satellite or GPS. Most people get the chips injected into their arms between the skin and muscle where they cannot be seen.

If Xega subscribers fear they are being kidnapped, they can hit a panic button to alert the company, which then calls police and feeds the location info to them.

At $4,000 for the unit and $2,200 a year in additional fees, it isn’t cheap, but still in striking range for a middle class that is increasingly being targeted by kidnappers.

Affluent Mexicans, terrified of soaring kidnapping rates, are spending thousands of dollars to implant tiny transmitters under their skin so satellites can help find them tied up in a safe house or stuffed in the trunk of a car.

Detractors say the chip is little more than a gadget that serves no real security purpose.

The company injects the crystal-encased chip, the size and shape of a grain of rice, into clients’ bodies with a syringe.

A transmitter in the chip then sends radio signals to a larger device carried by the client with a global positioning system in it, Xega says.

A satellite can then pinpoint the location of a person in distress.

Stalkers Using GPS Devices To Track Victims

A new GPS tracking device can be slipped into a vehicle and it’ll track where a person drives, when they stop and how fast they go.

It costs less than $200, and parents of teenagers such as Kansas City, Kan., mother Rebecca Zirkle say they love it. Local police, however, warn women to watch out for them.

“It’s not a spying technique for me as much as it is an ability to get to her if she’s in trouble or if she shows up missing,” Zirkle said.

“I want to be able to save her.” Zirkle’s daughter Sara also has two speeding tickets. With the GPS device, every time Sara speeds, her mother fires up the computer and finds out about it..

There’s nothing illegal about it if the parent using the device owns the car and wants to track their teenager, but a stalker could hide the device in a vehicle to spy on a victim.

Police said it has already happened. Jackson County, Mo., prosecutors charged a 20-year-old Kansas City man, Raymundo Munoz, with violation of a protection order after his estranged girlfriend found a GPS tracking device hidden on her gas tank.

Munoz denies stalking his ex and said he didn’t put the device on her vehicle. Court documents tell a different story.

The young woman said she became suspicious after Munoz threatened her, saying, “Watch what you do because I know if you are lying.”

Sgt. Kevin Colon works in the Kansas City Police Department’s domestic violence unit and said police across the country are starting to see similar cases

Is Technology Going Too Far With Spy Phones?

Most cell phone users make the assumption that their phone conversations are private. But that might not be the case.

New technology, called spy phones, allows people to track others’ calls and even listen to what they say.

Several Internet companies offer software that can be downloaded onto another person’s phone.

Why? Among the promotions for this software: catch a cheating spouse, track your teenager, check up on your employees.

Once downloaded, you will get a text message whenever a call is made from that phone, telling you what number is being called.

You will get a log on your computer of every call that goes out or comes into the phone, how long the calls last.

You can even read the text messages sent and received.

And in the case of a program called Flexispy, you can call into the phone with the software and listen in on the conversation as it is happening.

“It’s pretty scary,” says Mort Rosenthal, the CEO of Enterprise Mobile in Watertown.

He thinks the technology has gone too far, and believes it could be a hard problem to manage.

It would require counter technology or government regulation

Auditor General pushes for GPS tracking of sex offenders

Pennsylvania Auditor General Jack Wagner favors the idea of using global positioning satellite technology to track the location of known sex offenders.

At least 27 counties now use GPS to keep tabs on sex offenders, but Wagner wants to see legislation that would allow a statewide GPS monitoring program.

Wagner wants five years of GPS tracking for offenders who have tried to conceal their home address, and for those who have victimized children. ”

You can get GPS technology when you are in a golf cart, playing on a golf court.

But we are not utilizing GPS technology to protect our children.

There’s something seriously wrong here,” Wagner says.

That view is echoed by Dauphin County Republican Representative John Payne.

He says most people don’t realize that officials do not know the whereabouts of about ten percent of the state’s registered sex offenders.

Payne says, “I think if they knew that we have almost a thousand sexual predators where we have no idea where they are at, we can’t find them in Pennsylvania, they would be outraged.”

Should you, yourself, become lost or disabled, a global array of satellites will locate you, or any person who has been implanted with a SIB (Subdermally Implanted Biochip) anywhere on the planet.

A SIB can contain complete, valuable medical data about its wearer, saving lives in trauma cases. It can also index the wearer’s criminal record, voting record, party affiliation,

and level of access to government facilities and benefits, all without the wearer knowing exactly what’s in there.

Citizens will just have to take the government’s word that everything is kosher.

Eventually, governments will insist that all citizens have SIBs.

You will not be able to use your bank, open home utility accounts, nor sign contracts unless fitted with a SIB, for ‘security purposes.’

One day, your car won’t start and you won’t be able to get a tow truck nor money to repair it because it your SIB chip is not working.

The bank’s ATM won’t accept your SIB’s code, yet you see it accepting the SIB’s of other customers.

Your spouse will call from the grocery store, saying her chip also isn’t working and she can’t buy food for the kids.

Once, stores accepted both cash and SIB’s, but by edict of the Federal Reserve System, no one may use cash nor credit cards any more. All for reasons of ‘national security’ of course.

After hours of begging a government agency for an answer, it will turn out that a 20 year old clerk in Scumpond, Mass.,

put a hold on your whole family’s chips because of an unpaid parking ticket attributed to your vehicle’s license plate number.

You shout that you have never even been to Scumpond, Mass., but it falls on deaf ears.

Use of RFIDs Becoming Commonplace in America

More and more, George Orwell’s 1984 becoming reality—babies, students, elderly being ‘chipped’.

Some unverified Internet sources report that U.S. and European governments have plans to

implant RFIDs in every newborn instead of using ankle bracelets.

A Rhode Island school plans to electronically track the movements of students using Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFID).

Microchips will be attached to the students’ backpacks next year.

The RFID chips will be accessed via satellites through tiny GPS systems **within the chips.**

The school will be able to follow the children anywhere.

RFID put in library books in Wisconsin

Within seconds, a computer checks in each item and reactivates its anti-theft device. The sorting system is first of its kind in Milwaukee County- went live this month.

Like many industries, public libraries are turning increasingly to automation to improve efficiency and lower costs.

And while this forced job cuts in some communities, others say it has freed staff for more face-to-face work with patrons.

West Allis is among a handful of local libraries in Milwaukee County that are moving from a bar code system of tracking materials to radio frequency identification, or RFID.

RFID embedded in new Passports

The U.S. Department of State announced recently that it began production of the new passport card..

The passport card was designed as a more convenient alternative to a passport book. It can be used for land and sea travel.

It is not valid for international travel by air. Starting in June 2009, people will need to show a passport or equivalent document to pass at a port of entry.

The passport card contains a vicinity-read radio frequency identification chip. The feature is intended to facilitate the frequent travel of U.S. citizens living in border communities and to meet Department of Homeland Security’s operational needs at land borders.

The passport card contains security features to prevent counterfeiting and forgery. Also, each card comes with a protective sleeve to stop unauthorized reading or tracking when it is not in use.

“There is no personal information written to the RFID chip. The chip points to a stored record in secure government databases,” states the government notice.

“With RFID technology, Customs and Border Protection inspectors will be able to access photographs and other biographical information stored in secure government databases before the traveler reaches the inspection station.”

Trend with resorts to use RFID on ski passes

Embedding RFID tags into ski passes, of course, is nothing new, as it’s been a common practice in Europe for many years, and a growing number of U.S. ski resorts have started embracing the practice as well.

Vail Resorts is utilizing newer, ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) passive EPC Gen 2 tags, which operate at 900 MHz and can be read from much greater distances than HF tags.

***WATCHMAN… I told you these chips can be read at much longer distances than they are admitting…

Starting next winter, lift ticket scanners at all of Vail’s resorts will use handheld readers to collect the unique identification number encoded to each season pass as skiers and snowboarders approach base lifts.

The reader will transmit the ID, in order to perform a query to ascertain whether the pass ID is valid.

If it is, the software will send the pass holder’s digital image, as well as personal data, such as name and birth date, back to the handheld..

The employee will then compare the image with the actual skier or snowboarder.

The company does plan to continue examining other ways in which RFID could be of use to the Vail resorts.

“We run hotels, restaurants…we have lots of different businesses, and we think this single piece of plastic [the season pass] can be leveraged for more than just accessing a lift,”

said the resort’s chief information officer, hinting that RFID-based payment for food or services or hotel room access-control applications could be among future applications.

U.K. to Begin Microchipping Prisoners

The British government is developing a plan to track current and former prisoners by means of microchips implanted under the skin, drawing intense criticism from probation officers and civil rights groups.

As a way to reduce prison crowding, many British prisoners are currently released under electronic monitoring, carried out by means of an ankle bracelet that transmits signals like those used by mobile phones.

Now the Ministry of Justice is exploring the possibility of injecting prisoners in the back of the arm with a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip that contains information about their name, address and criminal record.

Such chips, which contain a built-in antenna, could be scanned by special readers.

The implantation of RFID chips in luggage, pets and livestock has become increasingly popular in recent years.

In addition to monitoring incarcerated prisoners, the ministry hopes to use the chips on those who are on probation or other conditional release.

By including a satellite uplink system in the chip, police would be able to use global positioning system (GPS) technology to track subjects’ exact locations at all times.

According to advocates of such a measure, this could help keep sex offenders away from “forbidden” zones like schools

Would you agree to a microchip implant if it were required for your job?

The issue isn’t as far-fetched as you might think.

Microchips, about the size of a grain of rice, are used to track store inventories, give motorists a quick pass through toll booths, and provide information on missing pets.

In some places, they’ve been implanted in people in connection with a job.

An Ohio surveillance firm and the Mexican attorney general’s office had workers get a chip implant before gaining access to certain records.

Should an employee be able to require a worker to get an implant as a condition of employment?

At least three states, California, North Dakota and Wisconsin, prohibit that.

Should states bar such implants?

Secret Bilderberg Agenda To Microchip All Americans Leaked

Elitists want to microchip Americans in name of fighting terrorism

Sources from inside the 2008 Bilderberg meeting have leaked the details of what elitists had discussed in Chantilly Virginia this month and the talking points were ominous

– a plan to microchip Americans under the pretext of fighting terrorist groups which will be identified as blonde haired, blue eyed westerners.

The information provided this year is bone-chilling for those who have tracked the development of the plan to make the general public consider implanted microchips.

“Under the heading of resisting terrorism there were points made about how the terrorist organizations are recruiting people who do not look like terrorists

– blonde, blue eyed boys – they’re searching hard for those types to become the new mad bombers,”

– the blue eyed blonde haired Al-Qaeda line is a familiar talking point that has been pushed in the News and within other Neo-Con circles

in an attempt to turn the anti-terror apparatus around to target dissidents, protesters and the American people in general.

The Bilderbergers discussed the microchipping of humans on a mass scale, which would be introduced under the pretext of fighting terrorism whereby the “good guys”

who would be allowed to travel freely from airports so long as their microchip could be scanned and the information stored in a database.

The idea was also sold on the basis that it would help hospital staff treat a patient in an emergency situation because a scan of the chip would provide instantaneous access to health details.

The Bilderbergers were talking about subdermally implanted chips and not merely RFID chips contained in clothing..

The discussion took place in a main conference hall and was part of the agenda, not an off-hand remark in the hotel bar.

Canada chips credit cards

It is expected that Canada will move to chip technology over the next 3 years, and the cards are being tested now. Cards are being embedded with a microchip, or a tiny computer.

Transactions with chip cards are 40% faster. If someone tries to pry open the card and take it apart, it expose the device to light and it automatically deletes its memory.

Instead of cards being swiped, shoppers insert them into a small chip-reading terminal. Consumers using chip cards need to type in a PIN number when making a purchase instead of signing their names.

It is more difficult to copy a chip card because the data and the transaction are encrypted, which keeps thieves from accessing accounts from these kinds of credit cards.

It is already in use in much of Europe and parts of Asia and Latin America.

RFID-enabled Tix to Olympics’ to Include Passport Data, home address and personal email

The Chinese Olympic Committee for the 2008 Games has revealed that all tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies will include RFID-enabled microchips with spectators’ passport information and home and e-mail addresses, among other sensitive personal info.

This high-level precaution is in response to the increasingly sensitive security issues surrounding the games, due largely in part to the host’s controversial positions on human rights and freedom of speech.

Implanted Micro-Chips in Humans The Future is Here!

Old people will be implanted with microchips to remind them to take their medicine, according to a vision of the future conjured up by Ofcom, the communications regulating quango.

It won’t end at that. We already see cats and dogs verified as rabies-free by chips implanted beneath their skin.

For humans it might sound quite handy to be reminded by an implant to take one’s library book back or to send a birthday card to a niece. But what if the taste of the medicine is less welcome and the computer chip keeps buzzing away until you’ve swallowed it all?

In one of the more nannyish Scandinavian states, there used to be a system making it impossible to buy alcohol unless one’s income tax was paid up to date..

Such an arrangement would be child’s play to a well-programmed implant.

So unless state ID schemes are resisted today, tomorrow you’ll have had your chips.

2) By 2020, all those living in, or visiting Europe will be chipped. If you do not have a chip, you will be fined, or denied access to public, or other services (eg., travel, healthcare, etc.);

3) By 2010, all babies in Europe will be chipped. Exceptions are for the offsprings of serving politicians, heads of state and similar high-ranking officials, or persons in the private sector.

4) By 2011, everyone living in Britain (with exceptions for police officers, politicians, heads of state and similar high ranking officials, or private persons) will be required to attend a police station monthly to protest their innocence from any crime. If such protestation is not satisfactory, there will be unlimited detention as the pleasure of the detainers until satisfaction occurs.

4) By 2009, in Britain, anyone will be able to be arrested and detained on suspicion of a crime. Detention without charge will be for an unlimited period and during that time, no access to lawyers, or representatives will be permitted.

Does not matter which political party is in force as all of the above will be dictated to us (as it is now) by the Illuminati European Union.

RFID scanners coming to border this summer

Radio frequency sensors are set to go up at Rio Grande Valley border crossings this summer and fall, preparing the ports of entry for stricter entry requirements next year.

Known as RFID, or radio frequency identification, the sensors will be able to detect microchips embedded in new passports, border crossing cards and visas.

Those with older passports will not be able to drive or walk through so easily, though – only passports, border crossing cards and visas issued in the past couple of years are equipped with the microchips.

The microchips will allow U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents to pull up a traveler’s information moments before a vehicle or pedestrian approaches an inspection booth.

In many cases, travelers won’t need to remove the cards from their pockets or purses.

Customs officials say rolling out the sensors for mass use will help speed up traffic when new border crossing documentation requirements are implemented on June 1, 2009.

On that date, all U..S. citizens are set to be required to present a passport or border crossing card to re-enter the country.

The new law is part of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative that Congress passed in 2004 to protect U.S. borders.

Travelers from states that use so-called enhanced driver’s licenses – state-issued licenses that provide proof of identity and U.S. citizenship – will also be able to cross with minimal fuss.

McDonald’s Tries Out New RFID-enabled Pay-By-Phone Coupons

First, it was the Starbucks-style store redesign and new focus on the coffee.

Now, the latest attempt by McDonald’s to stay relevant is through a new e-coupon system that it is currently testing in Japan.

Many other companies are using this, such as Visa, and RFID is being used for everything from paying for parking meters to expediting border crossings in RFID-enabled passports.

According to the press release, McDonald’s will begin using the tech in 175 stores and eventually expand it to the other 3,800 stores in that country.

There’s no word on when they expect to move this option to U.S. stores. Many phones in Japan include RFID tech, so it’s a good place to set-up highly concentrated trials of a transaction technology that will likely go completely mainstream in the next few years

Human implants increasing new applications – wi-fi devices warn doctors of heart attacks

The Bluetooth wireless technology that allows people to use a hands-free earpiece while making a mobile telephone call could soon alert the emergency services when someone has a heart attack, Ofcom predicts.

The communications regulator said that sensors could be implanted into people at risk of heart attack or diabetic collapse that would allow doctors to monitor them remotely.

If the “in-body network” recorded that the person had suddenly collapsed, it would send an alert, via a nearby base station at their home, to a surgery or hospital.

However, Ofcom also gave warning in its report, Tomorrow’s Wireless World, that the impact of such technology on personal privacy would require more debate.

The technology, which is being tested now in Portsmouth, could also be used if a patient failed to take his or her medicines.

A pill dispenser would send an automatic reminder and, if the pills were not taken within a certain time, an alarm would sound and a message would be sent to the patient’s family or carers.

The Ofcom report also said that advances in GPS positioning and short-range wireless technologies could “revolutionise the way we conduct our journeys and safety levels on the roads”.

Intelligent transport systems being developed by car manufacturers allowed cars to communicate with each other and send alerts about sudden braking.

If a collision happened the car’s system could automatically call the emergency services.

The technology could also apply the brakes automatically if it was determined that two cars were getting too close to each other.

Wireless communication technology could also enable food items to carry microchips containing information on their contents.

This would allow, for example, nut allergy sufferers to be alerted if they inadvertently picked up an item containing nuts

Getting under your skin

UK telecom regulator Ofcom has come out with some innovative technologies in their recently published report. Some of these technologies could be deployed for use within the next ten years.

Wireless food content scanners could change the way we shop. It describes portable nutritional content scanners that could enable people to scan the content of food wrappers quickly and easily.

Using existing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, like those on the reverse of many bar codes, they would help identify items suitable for dietary requirements.

This technology already exists as a means of helping prevent shoplifting, and is becoming more widely deployed for identifying and tracking valuable items in transit.

Research is being done in three areas:

In-body networks : a “body area network” could be implanted inside a patient’s body to enable doctors to monitor their recovery remotely. The in-body network sensors monitor how a patient moves or picks up vital health signs, such as blood sugar levels, and sends this information wirelessly to make an alert via a home hub or portable monitor.

On-body monitors : these are small devices which people could wear to check vital health indicators such as pulse and blood pressure. The device would use Bluetooth or other wireless technologies to send signals from the body to portable monitors, such as a watch or mobile phone, or a home hub.

Smart drug dispensing : intelligent pill boxes or bottles could sense whether they have been opened each day at the appropriate time. If they have not been opened they will sound an alarm or send a message to the patient’s home hub or portable monitor, reminding them to take their medication.

BRITAIN TO INTRODUCE FACE SCANS AT AIRPORTS

The plan was revealed in the newspaper Friday. The paper says the trials were approved at a conference in London this week including international biometrics industry executives, top civil servants in border control, and police technology experts. It quotes a British Border Agency saying a machine can do a better job of scanning passports and exposing identity fraud than humans.

An official at the Border Agency, speaking to VOA on condition of anonymity, confirmed the Guardian story. A statement released to VOA quotes Immigration Minister Liam Byrne calling Britain’s border security as among the toughest in the world.

He said that if the automatic gates work, they will be installed at all key airports.

But Phil Booth of No2ID, an organization campaigning against the introduction of ID cards in Britain, says the new technology is just another intrusion by the government.

‘The technologies that the government introduces that they say are about security are nothing of the sort,’ he said. ‘It’s security theater. It’s trying to bamboozle people with some new bits of technology and say it’s about security when in fact it’s about just gathering and sharing more of your information without your knowledge and consent.’

Booth says the technology, besides being more data gathering by the government on citizens, is not efficient.

‘Our understanding from industry, speaking with people who supply this sort of recognition systems is that they simply don’t perform well enough in real world situations for them to recognize people in a queue,’ he added.

He also criticized the introduction at a time when some high profile cases concerning the loss of personal data by the government have come to light. Last November two computer disks containing personal and financial data of some 25 million Britons disappeared after a junior employee of the British Revenue and Customs Office sent them to an audit office using an internal mail service.

At least eight million Britons hold biometric passports. The computer chips in them hold the carriers’ facial details

Enhanced Micro-Chip Tracking Technology May Propel Adoption of RFID

Mojix Inc. says its enhancements to a technology known as RFID — for radio frequency identification — sharply reduce the cost of setting up wireless networks that can cover entire warehouses, stores, distribution centers and yards where heavy equipment is stored.

Such networks can be used to quickly locate goods and track their movements without having to be close to a scanning device.

Networks with similar capabilities today typically require sophisticated RFID tags that cost anywhere from around $4 to more than $1,000 each.

Mojix says its hardware uses simpler tags that cost as little as 10 cents each.

Doctors Want Human Micro chipping to Start

Instead of doctors examining patients, one day such examinations may be replaced by tiny radio antennas implanted under the skin to act as remote sensors of humans’ emotional, physiological state.

Scientists at the Hebrew University’s applied physics department have discovered a method for remote sensing of people’s physiological and emotional state.

This technique revealed that the sweat ducts – tubes that lead the sweat from the sweat gland to the surface of the skin – are shaped as tiny coils.

Similar helical structures with much larger dimensions have been used widely in as antennas in wireless communication systems.

This led the investigators to consider the possibility that sweat ducts could behave like tiny helical antennas as well.

Should grandpa be micro chipped?

Chipping Fido is considered an act of love. Chipping Grandpa, however, has been described as “Orwellian,” “creepy” and even “satanic.”

Regardless, human “tagging” was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2004 to make it easier to retrieve medical records.

An estimated 2,000 people worldwide have volunteered to have tiny RFID (radio frequency identification) chips embedded just below the tricep, including 111 dementia patients and their caregivers at Alzheimer’s Community Care in West Palm Beach, Fla.

***WATCHMAN…TRICEP: the large muscle at the back of the upper arm that extends the forearm when contracted

Privacy advocates, who protested at the Florida care center, argued that Alzheimer’s patients can’t necessarily give informed consent. Implanting a chip, they say, is a violent, invasive act.

Critics also worry about potential long-term effects on health, even though they’ve been used

with pets for more than a decade.

***WATCHMAN… I have seen reports that link the CHIP to CANCER but they will NOT tell you about that…

But supporters say it’s important to have instant and accurate access to medical records, especially for dementia patients.

In addition to the estimated 4.5 million Americans suffering from Alzheimer’s—a number that

is expected to quadruple by 2050—the tags could be used for high-risk patients suffering from diabetes, cancer, heart disease and autism.

“The most important thing the chips have done is give our families peace of mind,” said Mary Barnes, CEO of Alzheimer’s Community Care, who reports no incidents so far.

The chip’s maker, VeriChip Corp., says the technology uses safe and passive (there is no power source) devices that are activated only when read by a scanner. Like pet microchips, they do not have GPS capabilities and can’t track a person’s whereabouts. And they don’t set off airport security alarms.

Pet owner Christine Collins, 56, of Bolingbrook micro chipped her five cats and called the tiny devices a “wonderful solution for locating both people and pets that are dear to you.” The problem, she said, is that unlike collars and bracelets, the chips are not visible.

“Chips are great for providing details, but they are subtle tracking tools that only work if people are aware they may be implanted,” said Collins, who worries about her own father, who was diagnosed with mild dementia, early stage Alzheimer’s and cardiac issues. “That’s probably the most immediate issue with their use and efficacy, not Orwellian fears of privacy.”

Hawaii first state to track produce with microchips for food safety; radio tags to track food

A technology used to track everything from cattle and bottles of Viagra to U.S. military weapons will soon be tested on an unlikely candidate for surveillance: tomatoes.

The Hawaii Department of Agriculture will rollout a three-year pilot project this month to track and trace tomatoes and other produce using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. The system uses microchips with paper-thin antennae stuck onto produce boxes that emit radio waves when scanned.

While the technology is already being used by a few supermarkets and farms across the nation, Hawaii would be the first state to test RFID from farm to market in hopes of improving food safety.

Robots seen doing work of 3.5 million in Japan

Robots could fill the jobs of 3.5 million people in graying Japan by 2025, a thinktank says, helping to avert worker shortages as the country’s population shrinks.

Japan faces a 16 percent slide in the size of its workforce by 2030 while the number of elderly will mushroom, the government estimates, raising worries about who will do the work in a country unused to, and unwilling to contemplate, large-scale immigration.

The thinktank, the Machine Industry Memorial Foundation, says robots could help fill the gaps, ranging from microsized capsules that detect lesions to high-tech vacuum cleaners.

Rather than each robot replacing one person, the foundation said in a report that robots could make time for people to focus on more important things.

Japan could save 2.1 trillion yen ($21 billion) of elderly insurance payments in 2025 by using robots that monitor the health of older people, so they don’t have to rely on human nursing care, the foundation said in its report

Big Brother RFID: Putting “Micro-Chip Tracking Tags” on Americans

UW team researches a future filled with RFID chips

Some University of Washington students, faculty and staff are being tracked as they move about the computer-science building, with details of where they’ve been, and with whom, stored in a database.

Professor Gaetano Borriello checks a computer to find graduate student Evan Welbourne’s last location: on the fourth floor, outside room 452 at 10:38 a.m. Wednesday. He opens another screen to reveal the building’s floor plan, and a blinking green dot representing Welbourne shows him walking down the hall.

If it seems a bit like Big Brother, that’s the intention. The project is meant to explore both positive and negative aspects of a world saturated with technology that can monitor people and objects remotely.

“What we want to understand,” Borriello said, “is what makes it useful, what makes it threatening and how to balance the two.”

The Facebook tool which turns your mobile into a snoop

Husbands who are not where they are supposed to be could soon be in danger of being “sniffed” out by a mobile phone service that gives suspicious partners an electronic map showing the location of their spouse.

The Social Network Integrated Friend Finder (Sniff) is a new application, accessed via Facebook or mobile phone, which could bring an end to frantic “Where r u?” text messages.

The service, popular in Scandinavia, promises to provide users with a detailed map of their friends’ locations, any time and anywhere.

However, there are fears that Sniff could be abused by employers to remove the last vestiges of privacy from staff.

Employees who are enjoying a long lunch or a secret liaison instead of the business meeting in their diary could also find themselves “sniffed out”.

Mr Levin said: “If the employer is paying the phone bill and employees are aware they can be ‘sniffed’, at least everyone knows those are the rules..” Work surveillance is an increasing concern

Micro-chip tracking tags approved for Alzheimer’s patients

Micro-chip tracking tags are being tried out for Alzheimer’s patients, which could prolong the time sufferers are able to remain living in their own homes.

Scientists believe the devices, similar to those used to monitor offenders, could offer greater independence to the more than 700,000 people in Britain diagnosed with dementia.

Alzheimer’s groups have backed the idea, believing the tags could offer greater independence for those with the condition and peace of mind for their care givers..

The devices allow patients to send a distress signal to care givers if they become confused or disorientated. Systems being tested include sending a signal to a mobile phone or interrupting television programs to register the alert. Relatives can use the satellite navigation technology to identify a location and find their loved one.

Tracking technology in the corridors of learning

Walk around the University of Washington’s computer science building and eventually you will cross paths with a researcher whose every movement is tracked by computer.

Two hundred RFID antennas have been fitted into the ceilings, and individuals taking part in the trial wear RFID tags round their necks and on their possessions.

Their location is followed in real time, but unlike many Orwellian deployments of such technology – where hidden overseers know what we’re all doing, but individuals don’t – each participant in the RFID Ecosystem can also access the data.

“Our goal is to ask what benefits can we get out of this technology and how can we protect people’s privacy at the same time,” says Magda Balazinska, the project leader and assistant professor of computer science and engineering at UW.

“We want to get a handle on the privacy issues that will crop up if these systems become a reality.” Balazinska and a dozen other members of the team have been wearing RFID tags for the past year.

The sensor data is collected in a central database and then passed on to applications such as Google Calendar and a Twitter widget called RFIDder which sends alerts to friends letting them know if they’re in a meeting or have sat down to lunch.

It also automatically logs every “encounter” event between participants

Introducing Digital Tattoo Interface

Jim Mielke’s wireless blood-fueled display is a true merging of technology and body art.

At the recent Greener Gadgets Design Competition, the engineer demonstrated a subcutaneously implanted touch-screen that operates as a cell phone display, with the potential for 3G video calls that are visible just underneath the skin.

The basis of the 2×4-inch “Digital Tattoo Interface” is a Bluetooth device made of thin, flexible silicon and silicone.

It´s inserted through a small incision as a tightly rolled tube, and then it unfurls beneath the skin to align between skin and muscle.

Through the same incision, two small tubes on the device are attached to an artery and a vein to allow the blood to flow to a coin-sized blood fuel cell that converts glucose and oxygen to electricity.

After blood flows in from the artery to the fuel cell, it flows out again through the vein.

On both the top and bottom surfaces of the display is a matching matrix of field-producing pixels.

The top surface also enables touch-screen control through the skin.

Instead of ink, the display uses tiny microscopic spheres, somewhat similar to tattoo ink

Biosensors & Implantable Chips: The Future Of Your Body

This “medical telesensor” chip on a fingertip can measure and transmit body temperature.

An array of chips attached to your body may provide additional information on blood pressure, oxygen level, pulse rate , breathing ( chest expansion )

A chip implanted in the body will function as a constant on board doctor, detecting diseases early and delivering drugs straight into the blood stream.

Sound like an Orwellian/Asimov hybrid to be seen in an episode of a Jestonic future Space age Cartoon ? Think again .

Biosensors could make this scenario a reality before your toddler goes to college.

Bacteria can be detected using “biosensors.”

A biosensor is a device that detects, records, and transmits information regarding a physiological change or the presence of various chemical or biological materials in the environment.

More technically a Biosensor will be defined as a “ Compact analytical device incorporating a biological or biologically –derived sensing element either integrated within or intimately associated with a physicochemical transducer.”

The usual aim of a biosensor is to produce either discrete or continuous digital electronic signal which are proportional to signal analyte or a related group of analytes.

Biosensors, which come in a large variety of sizes and shapes, are used to monitor changes in environmental conditions. They can detect and measure concentrations of specific bacteria or hazardous chemicals; they can measure acidity levels (pH).

Biosensors are already thriving in the medical field. From 1990’s biosensors have been used as immunosensors to destroy or weaken invading bacteria and neutralize organic poisons in the human body.

External biosensors are used in emergency room as a point-of- care diagnostic units – such as I-Stat’s ( Manufacturing company ) “ LABS –on a CHIP “ , which can reveal almost immediately whether a patient is in cardiac arrest by testing blood chemistry .

Other companies are developing implantable biosensors that track blood glucose levels and deliver insulin. Microchip ( company ) is testing a chip implant that offers long term , time-controlled drug delivery .

Their next step is a manually wirelessly controlled biosensors that detects and treats an acute condition and then a Biosensor that will approximate an artificial organ.

It will sense a condition and respond automatically without user intervention.

EU Drafts RFID Micro-Chip Tracking Guidelines

The European Commission has sketched out guidelines designed to help get RFID (radio frequency identification) technologies up and running in the European Union, but stopped short of proposing formal legislation in the area.

The Commission said Thursday that it has drawn up a draft text that aims to help the makers of RFID technology, as well as potential users, introduce the technology without harming privacy rights.

The Commission recommends that producers of RFID micro-chips conduct a privacy assessment before marketing their wares, while industries that plan to use the chips should sign up to a code of conduct outlining how the chips should be used.

Industries using RFID technology should agree on a symbol to attach to the goods that carry the chips to alert customers to their presence, the Commission proposed.

It also **suggests** that the chips should deactivate automatically at the point of purchase.

RFID chips used with perishable items such as milk could alert consumers if products go bad, but such a service should be optional, said Commission spokesman Martin Selmayr.

“You should be able to decide whether to allow your milk carton to communicate with your fridge, for example,” he said at a news conference.

Smart Micro-chip tracking tags hail the web of things

Micro-chip Tags are helping monitor health and safety on building sites

The humble micro-chip tracking tag is growing up.

So say researchers and developers who are finding ways to make the tiny devices much more than just a hi-tech price tag that can help shops and supermarkets track cans of beans from warehouse to store shelf.

“It all started with simple radio tags and asset tracking,” said Gerd Kortuem, “but that really only gives you an identifier for an object.”

Now, said Dr Kortuem, tiny Radio Frequency ID (RFID) tags are getting smarter and more communicative as bigger memory, basic processing power and wireless technologies are added to them..

“We are trying to embed a little more intelligence beyond location by adding sensors and by networking these objects together,” he said.

Safe and sound

Dr Kortuem and colleagues are working on a project that combines smart tags and personal identifiers to keep an eye on people working on construction sites using heavy machine tools.

“It’s to keep track of how long they are used, to figure out vibrations generated by these tools,” he said. “It’s for health and safety. We create personalized health and safety records for every worker.”

The future of the internet is an internet of connected objects Jean-Francois Kitten

“The current way of generating this data is after the fact and no-one really cares about it,” he said. “There is legislation and companies need to generate the data, they need to prove that they comply with the legislation.”

Workers will also be able to look at their own health records to get a sense of their exposure to potentially harmful working environments and raise awareness of the dangers.

For instance, prolonged exposure to vibrations from drills and other tools can lead to a condition called “vibration white finger” that can leave extremities numb and painful.

Many hardware makers, such as router maker Cisco, are also starting to put smarter tags on devices so they can keep a record of their working life and can call for help if they are about to fail or are in need of servicing.

Smarter homes

In the home too some gadgets are starting to use RFID tags to become smarter and help their owners cope with the pace of modern life.

The latest version of the Nabaztag wi-fi rabbit gadget has been fitted with a sensor that can interrogate the radio tags.

The rabbit can also read out e-mails, monitor RSS feeds and the weather for its owners. Rival devices such as the Chumby and Tux droid perform similar functions.

Nabaztag rabbit reading a book, Violet

The rabbit can recognize lots of different objects

Violet, the creators of the rabbit have signed a deal with Gallimard Jeunesse to put RFID tags on books produced by the French publisher.

Jean-Francois Kitten, a spokesman for Violet, said at first only five titles, some stories and some educational, would have tags but more were expected soon.

When a tagged book is waved under the Nabaztag’s nose it pulls according of a story being read from the net and begins to play it. Moving the rabbit’s ears lets listeners skip forward or back in the text.

The rabbit also remembers where it reached in the book so, in the case of a story, it can pick up at the right place in the action when listeners want to continue.

“In the average house you have about 10,000 different objects and right now you have maybe three objects connected to the net – phone, computer and perhaps a rabbit,” he said.

“But we think that more and more objects are going to be connected,” said Mr Kitten.

Mr Kitten said putting tags on books had huge potential. For instance, he said, a tagged book could become a key to future content if a novel was made in to a film or game.

When the rabbit read the tag its owner would get the chance to watch the movie online or download a game.

“It’s a pedagogical way to explain what you can do with RFID and interactive objects,” he said.

Violet also had plans to sell RFID stamps, or ztamps, that can be stuck on any object which can then be associated with almost any net content. When they go on sale three ztamps will cost £1 (1.34 euros).

Nabaztag owners will be able to customize what happens when a tagged object is waved under the nose of their wi-fi rabbit.

“The future of the internet is an internet of connected objects,” he said.

A seamless, global network of electronic “sniffers” will scan radio tags in myriad public settings, identifying people and their tastes instantly so that customized ads, “live spam,” may be beamed at them.

In “Smart Homes,” sensors built into walls, floors and appliances will inventory possessions, record eating habits, monitor medicine cabinets – all the while, silently reporting data to marketers eager for a peek into the occupants’ private lives.

Resistance Is Futile: You Will Be Micro chipped

***WATCHMAN… NOW “I” DID NOT SAY THAT the report did…

Parents worry about their little ones being abducted. Later they worry about their not-quite-so-little ones driving too fast and then stopping to hang with the wrong crowd. “Sandwich” generation parents also get to worry about elderly parents wandering off or injuring themselves.

Microchips have been implanted in more than one million pets, and now humans may be next. While it may smack of Big Brother, people may soon be scanned like bread at the supermarket.

Teens, too, can be “watched” using GPS technology as parents are alerted when junior exceeds the speed limit and/or goes to an unapproved location.

There are infant protection systems – wearable RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags for mom and baby – designed to prevent infant abductions and inadvertent child mismatching.

Parents can also find out everything their kids say and do online. One can track them by their cell phones, and read their text messages.

At least five companies – Disney Mobile, Guardian Angel Technology, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and Wherify Wireless – have built GPS tracking into cell phones.

With Verizon’s Chaperone, for example, the parent can determine the location of the child’s cell phone from the Internet or from his or her own cell phone.

The child’s location information will be displayed as a nearby address and on a detailed map.

Chaperone also allows the parent to establish geographic boundaries around such locations as home or baseball practice.

When the child arrives near or leaves the vicinity of a predetermined location, the parent can be notified via a TXT message.

In 2004 the FDA approved an implantable chip for use in medical applications. The microchip, the size of a grain of rice, is inserted below the skin. The chip carries medical records that can be read by a scanner ‘ information such as blood groups, conditions, allergies, and details of medications.

The same company that offers this human-implantable RFID microchip (Delray Beach, Fla.-based VeriChip) also offers wander-prevention technology for long-term care facilities.

And Big Brother (or Big Mother) can now occupy the back seat of the family vehicle, at least digitally.

Real-time GPS vehicle tracking allows parents to monitor their teen’s driving habits. You can determine the vehicle’s speed and location by viewing the car on a map from any computer with Internet access.

The date, time, address, speed and direction are displayed. If you can’t get to a computer, the phone can also provide the teen’s last updated location and, if moving, vehicle speed.

If your little darling has a different take on what occurred in the past, historical driving information can be saved.

You can even remotely lock and unlock the car door from your computer, and you can disable the ignition.

How humiliating would it be to your teen driver if you flashed the lights or blew the horn to get his or her attention? It simply requires the push of a key on your computer. (There’s no reason this couldn’t work on a spouse as well.)

Another feature auto-notifies when your teen driver has exceeded a predetermined speed limit or drives to a restricted address.

How many of us would have had our privileges yanked if these technologies had available when we were kids? I know my mom would have used all of these tactics and more – if she could have figured out the directions.

Baltimore-based nonprofit partners in bringing implantable microchips mainstream

Implanting human beings with microchips that contain their identification and medical records is a controversial subject.

But by the end of the year, as many as 500 kidney dialysis patients in Maryland will be equipped with microchips from Florida firm VeriChip Corp., and local hospitals will be carrying the technology to read the chips.

The project is a partnership between VeriChip and the Independent Dialysis Foundation Inc., a Baltimore-based nonprofit that operates eight dialysis centers in the state.

VeriChip has offered to implant its VeriMed microchip, the size of a grain of rice, at no cost in all the foundation’s roughly 500 patients.

The company also hopes to provide the readers at no cost to about 25 hospital emergency departments in the state.

ARE CHRISTIANS BEING GROOMED TO ACCEPT THE COMING ANTICHRIST?

Today it was learned that Madras High School in the little town of Madras, Oregon is the latest government institution to allow students to pay for their lunch with the swipe of a hand.

Only yesterday in a related event, Chief of Police Jack Schmidig of Bergen County, NJ, a member of the police force for over 30 years,

received a VeriChip implant as part of Applied Digital Solution’s strategy of enlisting key regional leaders to accelerate adoption of its product.

According to information released last year the implantable transceiver “sends and receives data and can be continuously tracked by GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology.

The history of GETTING CHIPPED

1] As far back as 1973, Senior Scholastics introduced school age children to the concept of buying and selling using numbers inserted in their forehead.

2] In the 1974 article “The Specter of Eugenics,” Charles Frankel pointed out Linus Pauling’s (Nobel Prize winner) suggestions that a mark be tattooed on the foot or forehead of every young person. Pauling envisioned a mark denoting genotype.

3] In 1980, U.S. News and World Report continued the warning, pointing out that the Federal Government was contemplating “National Identity Cards,” without which nobody could work or conduct business.

4] The Denver Post Sun followed up in 1981, claiming that chip implants could someday replace I.D. cards. The June 21, 1981 story read in part, “The chip is placed in a needle which is affixed to a simple syringe containing an anti-bacterial solution. The needle is capped and ready to forever identify something–or somebody.”

5] The May 7, 1996 Chicago Tribune questioned the technology, wondering aloud if we could trust Big Brother under our skin?

6] Then in 1997 applications for patents of subcutaneous implant devices for “a person or an animal” were applied for.

7] On April 27, 1998, Time Magazine ran the story, The Big Bank Theory And What It Says About The Future OF Money, in which they opined “Your daughter can store the money any way she wants–on her laptop, on a debit card, even (in the not too distant future) on a chip implanted under her skin.”

8] In August 1998 the BBC covered the first known human microchip implantation.

9] That same month the Sunday Portland Oregonian warned that proposed medical identifiers might erode privacy rights by tracking individuals through alphanumeric health identifier technologies. The startling Oregonian feature depicted humans with barcodes in their foreheads.

10] A couple of years back millions of Today Show viewers watched as the decade of prophetic warnings materialized when an American family got “chipped” with ADS’s VeriChip™ live from a doctor’s office in Boca Raton.

1] Lastly in January of 2008 a plan was revealed to begin under the skin chipping of USA soldiers

Since then, it’s been business as usual with the chipping mantra.

Hospitals to begin tagging babies with electronic tracking Micro-chips

Privacy advocates protest as half of Ohio birthing centers turn to tracking technology

Over half the birthing facilities in Ohio are being equipped with an RFID infant protection system placed on infants at birth to prevent them from being abducted from the hospital or from being given to the wrong mother.

“Standard protocol in the hospitals using the VeriChip system is that the baby receives an RFID anklet at birth and the mother receives a matching wristband,” VeriChip spokeswoman Allison Tomek said. “The mothers are not asked.”

***WATCHMAN…. BUT CHIPPING IS A CHOICE RIGHT? WRONG???…

VeriChip Corp., a publicly listed company headquartered in Delray Beach, Fla., is marketing though its wholly-owned subsidiary, Xmark, a HUGS brand tag-and-bracelet infant security system.

The RFID tag is attached to an infant at birth by an ankle bracelet that is detected by monitors positioned throughout the hospital.

Critics charge the VeriChip system is an intrusive technology solution to a problem that is rare.

The HUGS system can detect if the RFID tag is lifted from the baby’s skin, if the ankle strap broken or if the baby’s RFID tag and the mother’s don’t match.

If a newborn is removed from the ward without authorization or a baby is placed with the wrong mother, the system triggers an alarm that can cause hospital entrances and exits to lock shut.

Ironically, relying on RFID technology could end up making a rare occurrence more likely,” Albrecht said. “Once hospital staffers rely on computer systems to track the human inventory in their care, they become lss vigilant.

HUGS system RFID anklets and bracelets are not equipped with GPS technology.

Micro-chip E-tags for dementia sufferers promoted

NEW technology that electronically tags dementia sufferers with micro-chips to help find them when they get lost has the support of some welfare groups.

The technology being tested in the UK tags dementia sufferers and tracks them by satellite to help find them when they wander off.

“The technology could offer great benefits for people with dementia and their careers, but we have to be careful that it’s never used as an alternative for high-quality care or substitute for proper resourcing by government,” the group’s executive director Jon Bisset said.

However, Pauline Wright from the NSW Council for Civil Liberties dismissed electronic tagging as a “gimmicky alternative to expensive, high-quality dementia care”.

Plans for national ID card raise concerns

NEW YORK STATE ALBANY – After abandoning his controversial driver’s license plan for illegal immigrants this fall, Governor Eliot Spitzer got behind the federal government’s REAL ID card.

Now, despite what he said in October, the governor says he is taking time to review the details of the REAL ID program.

“In this era, there is no question that the federal government and individual states must take steps to improve the safety and security of our transportation system. Now that the Department of Homeland Security has released its REAL ID regulations we will take the time necessary to carefully review the details. This is an issue that merits cautious study and dialogue,” Spitzer said in a statement.

Agencies responsible for issuing the card are concerned. New York has so far done nothing to get ready for the REAL ID so Governor Spitzer has until February to ask the U.S. Government for more time to implement it.

Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola says he needs to know sooner rather than later when the cards will take effect.

“The longer he waits the shorter the window the window keeps closing in and people have to get in the office for processing,” said Merola.

The REAL ID doesn’t just mean more work for agencies that distribute identification. To obtain one, you’ll need a combination of a birth certificate, military ID, social security card and/or visa. Despite the increased red tape, Merola welcomes the card for safety’s sake.

“Since September 11th, 2001 we’ve been talking about the security of the document and that’s what we look forward to,” he said.

The REAL ID is intended to keep dangerous people off airplanes. The men responsible for the September 11th hijackings had valid driver’s licenses. But there’s fear that the new, stringent requirements will disenfranchise groups of Americans.

“There are many populations in this country that have difficulty obtaining the original documents, their birth certificates, marriage certificates and so on. It just isn’t that easy to get the documents,” said Melanie Trimble of the New York Civil Liberties Union.

Technology to support the REAL ID is already being tested across the country. That, too, worries Trimble who argues the REAL ID infringes on our fundamental right to privacy.

“This is not the American way. We should not have a piece of paper or an electronic trace for every person in this country,” she said.

If Governor Spitzer doesn’t apply for the extension, New Yorkers won’t be able to board a plane with their current licenses in May.

If you were born before December 1, 1964, you don’t have to worry about the new ID’s just yet.

Roll out will be staggered, depending on your age.

Doctor alleges plans underway to “Microchip” Newborns in U.S. and Europe

Regarding plans to microchip newborns, Dr. Kilde said the U.S. has been moving in this direction “in secrecy.”

Are you prepared to live in a world in which every newborn baby is micro-chipped?

And finally are you ready to have your every move tracked, recorded and placed in Big Brother’s data bank?

Guinea pigs in secret experiments have included prisoners, soldiers, mental patients, handicapped children, deaf and blind people, homosexuals, single women, the elderly, school children, and any group of people considered “marginal” by the elite experimenters.

With the help of satellites, the implanted person can be tracked anywhere on the globe.

Such a technique was among a number tested in the Iraq war.

The 20-billion-bit/second supercomputers at the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) could now “see and hear” what soldiers experience in the battlefield with a remote monitoring system (RMS).

“When a 5-micromillimeter microchip (the diameter of a strand of hair is 50 micro millimeters) is placed into optical nerve of the eye,”, Dr. Kilde indicates “it draws neuro-impulses from the brain that embody the experiences, smells, sights, and voice of the implanted person.

Once transferred and stored in a computer, these neuro-impulses can be projected back to the person’s brain via the microchip to be re-experienced.

Using a RMS, a land-based computer operator can send electromagnetic messages (encoded as signals) to the nervous system, affecting the target’s performance.

With RMS, healthy persons can be induced to see hallucinations and to hear voices in their heads.

Every thought, reaction, hearing, and visual observation causes a certain neurological potential, spikes, and patterns in the brain and its electromagnetic fields, which can now be decoded into thoughts, pictures, and voices, Dr. Kilde adds.

Electromagnetic stimulation can therefore change a person’s brainwaves and affect muscular activity, causing painful muscular cramps experienced as torture.”

A Starting Point: Prisoners ‘To Be Chipped Like Dogs’ [Military Next, Then Children & Elderly, Finally Everybody]

Hi-tech ‘satellite’ tagging planned in order to create more space in jails Civil rights groups and probation officers furious at ‘degrading’ scheme that would create more space in British jails.

Amid concerns about the security of existing tagging systems and prison overcrowding, the Ministry of Justice is investigating the use of satellite and radio-wave technology to monitor criminals.

But, instead of being contained in bracelets worn around the ankle, the tiny chips would be surgically inserted under the skin of offenders in the community, to help enforce home curfews.

The radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, as long as two grains of rice, are able to carry scanable personal information about individuals, including their identities, address and offending record.

The tags, labeled “spychips” by privacy campaigners, are already used around the world to keep track of dogs, cats, cattle and airport luggage, but there is no record of the technology being used to monitor offenders in the community.

The tags, injected into the back of the arm with a hypodermic needle, consist of a toughened glass capsule holding a computer chip, a copper antenna and a “capacitor” that transmits data stored on the chip when prompted by an electromagnetic reader.

The US market leader VeriChip Corp, whose parent company has been selling radio tags for animals for more than a decade, has sold 7,000 RFID microchips worldwide, of which about 2,000 have been implanted in humans.

The company claims its VeriChips are used in more than 5,000 installations, crossing healthcare, security, government and industrial markets, but they have also been used to verify VIP membership in nightclubs, automatically gaining the carrier entry – and deducting the price of their drinks from a pre-paid account.

The possible value of the technology to the UK’s justice system was first highlighted 18 months ago, when Acpo’s Mr Jones suggested the chips could be implanted into sex offenders. The implants would be tracked by satellite, enabling authorities to set up “zones”, including schools, playgrounds and former victims’ homes, from which individuals would be barred.

“If we are prepared to track cars, why don’t we track people?” Mr Jones said. “You could put surgical chips into those of the most dangerous sex offenders who are willing to be controlled.”

The internal tags also have a use in maintaining order within prisons.

In the United States, they are used to track the movement of gang members within jails.

The rest of us could be next…..

Professionals in the criminal justice system maintain that the present system is 95 per cent effective.

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is unproven.

The technology is actually more invasive, and carries more information about the host.

The devices have been dubbed “spychips” by critics who warn that they would transmit data about the movements of other people without their knowledge.

Consumer privacy expert Liz McIntyre said a colleague had already proved he could “clone” a chip. “He can bump into a chipped person and siphon the chip’s unique signal in a matter of seconds,” she said.

One company plans deeper implants that could vibrate, electroshock the implantee, broadcast a message, or serve as a microphone to transmit conversations.

“Some folks might foolishly discount all of these downsides and futuristic nightmares since the tagging is proposed for criminals like rapists and murderers,” Ms McIntyre said. “The rest of us could be next.”

Kevin H. McLaughlin, VeriChip Corporation’s CEO said of the event that “High-profile regional leaders are accepting the VeriChip, representing an excellent example of our approach to gaining adoption of the technology.”

The new and aggressive indoctrination program – Thought and Opinion Leaders to Play Key Role in Adoption of VeriChip – is intended to create widespread acceptance and exponential adaptation of the company’s FDA-cleared, human-implantable RFID tag.

***WATCHMAN… FUNNY the FDA CLEARED it because the chip has been linked to CANCER in animals…

Earlier this year ADS provided testimony that safeguards have been implemented to ensure privacy in connection with implantable microchips. ADS received patent rights to Digital Angel (TM) technology on December 10, 1999.

What set Digital Angel apart from the competition was the innovative design–a miniature digital transceiver specifically created for human implantation.

According to information released last year the implantable transceiver “sends and receives data and can be continuously tracked by GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology.

***WATCHMAN… I told you years ago that when they could TRACK the RFID CHIP with GPS it would most likely be the choice of the ANTI-CHRIST WORLD BEAST SYSTEM to contain the MARK or 666…

The transceiver’s power supply and actuation system are unlike anything ever created. When implanted within a body, the device is powered electromechanically through the movement of muscles, and it can be activated either by the ‘wearer’ or by the monitoring facility.

An Information Technology report verified plans to study implantable chips as a method of tracking terrorists.

After first pulling back from the implantable version of its Digital Angel, ADS foresees a unique use of its product under the new name VeriChip in the wake of terrorist attacks in New York and Washington. “We’ve changed out thinking since September 11,” a company spokesman said, “Now there’s more of a need to monitor evil activities.”

ADS also claims the VeriChip (Digital Angel) has a variety of otheruses, such as “providing a tamper-proof means of identification for enhanced e-business security, animal tracking, locating lost or missing individuals, tracking the location of valuable property and monitoring nthe medical conditions of at-risk patients.”

Following the Internet World Wireless award for “Best of Show: Client Services,” Mercedes Walton, President and CEO of Applied Digital Solutions, said: We have always had high expectations for the Digital Angel products.

This award is truly a validation of our faith in Digital Angel’s ability to capture the imagination of the public. Consumer anticipation has translated into accelerated interest from potential partners and allies. We are eager to bring Digital Angel to the marketplace in a very timely manner….”

Other manufacturers of sub-skin implants have quietly field-tested similar devices over the past few years. The London Times reported that, “Film stars and the children of millionaires are among 45 people, including several Britons, who have been fitted with the chips (called the Sky Eye) in secret tests.”

Due to civil liberty and privacy issues, the ACLU announced opposition to mandatory microchip implantation when applied to humans. The ACLU is certain to be a strange bedfellow of conservatives concerning this issue.

THE FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY?

Many people believe that, before long, an antichrist system will appear.

It will be a New World Order, under which national boundaries dissolve, and ethnic groups, ideologies, religions, and economics from around the world will orchestrate a single and dominant sovereignty.

The system will supposedly be free of religious and political extremes, and membership will tolerate the philosophical and cultural differences of its constituents. Except for minor nonconformities, war, terrorism, and hunger will be a thing of the past.

According to popular Biblical interpretation, a single personality will surface at the head of this utopian administration. He will appear as a man of distinguished character, but will ultimately become “a king of fierce countenance” (Dan. 8:23).

With imperious decree this Antichrist will facilitate the one-world government, universal religion, and globally monitored socialism. Those who refuse his New World Order will inevitably be imprisoned or destroyed, until at last he exalts himself “above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he, as God, sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (2 Thess. 2:4).

The Antichrist’s widespread power will be derived at the expense of individual human liberties. He will force “all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had

the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six [666]” (Rev. 13:16-18).

For many years the idea that humans would somehow succumb to little more than branded cattle, and that rugged individualism would thereafter be sacrificed for an anesthetized universal harmony, was repudiated by America’s greatest minds.

Then, in the 1970’s, things began to change. Following a call by Nelson Rockefeller for the creation of a “New World Order,” presidential candidate Jimmy Carter campaigned, saying, “We must replace balance of power politics with world order politics.”

During the 1980’s, President George Bush continued the one-world dirge, announcing over national television that “a New World Order” had arrived.

Following the initial broadcast, President Bush addressed the Congress, saying, “What is at stake is more than one small country [Kuwait], it is a big idea–a new world order, where diverse nations are drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind: peace and security, freedom, and the rule of law. Such is a world worthy of our struggle, and worthy of our children’s future!”

Ever since the President’s astonishing newscast, a parade of political and religious leaders have discharged a profusion of rhetoric aimed at implementing the goals of a New World Order.

Developers of biometric implant chips employ similar language in announcing compatible global technologies, and many Americans consider electronically marking humans or implanting a series of digital equations beneath the skin to be the natural progress of these advancing and necessary technologies.

IT SHOULD COME AS NO SURPRISE

Some people believe implantable microchips will become the Biblical Mark of the Beast. These claim that acts of terrorism such as the ones in New York and Washington, encourage micro chipping humans for identification purposes.

Yet even before the New York and Pentagon tragedies, a push was being made to brand and monitor humanity.

Consider the following:

1] As far back as 1973, Senior Scholastics introduced school age children to the concept of buying and selling using numbers inserted in their forehead.

In the September 20, 1973 feature “Who Is Watching You?” the secular high school journal speculated: “All buying and selling in the program will be done by computer.

No currency, no change, no checks.

In the program, people would receive a number that had been assigned them tattooed in their wrist or forehead.

The number is put on by laser beam and cannot be felt.

The number in the body is not seen with the naked eye and is as permanent as your fingerprints.

All items of consumer goods will be marked with a computer mark.

The computer outlet in the store which picks up the number on the items at the checkstand

will also pick up the number in the person’s body and automatically total the price and deduct the amount from the person’s ‘Special Drawing Rights’ account.”

5] The May 7, 1996 Chicago Tribune questioned the technology, wondering aloud if we could trust Big Brother under our skin?

6] Then in 1997 applications for patents of subcutaneous implant devices for “a person or an animal” were applied for.

Meanwhile, terrorism has many people in the mood to sacrifice their liberties… a National ID Bill Masquerading As Immigration Reform is moving through the US Congress… and Digital Angel has expanded its mass production factory in Palm Beach, Florida.

WILL DIGITAL “MARKS” SOON BE MANDATORY?

Makers of implantable microchips claim the procedure will continue to be voluntary. But a report written by Elaine M. Ramish for the Franklin Pierce Law Center says: “A [mandatory] national identification system via microchip implants could be achieved in two stages…

Upon introduction as a voluntary system, the microchip implantation will appear to be palatable.

After there is a familiarity with the procedure and a knowledge of its benefits, implantation would be mandatory.”

George Getz, the communications director for the Libertarian Party agrees, saying: “After all, the government has never forced anyone to have a driver license, [but] try getting along without one, when everyone from your local banker to the car rental man to the hotel operator to the grocery store requires one in order for you to take advantage of their services, that amounts to a de facto mandate.

If the government can force you to surrender your fingerprints to get a drivers license, why can’t it force you to get a computer chip implant?”

People like Mr. Getz are correct. Conservatives and liberals alike need to contact state and federal representatives and demand laws preserving individual rights before Digital Angel and similar forces lead humanity down a high-tech path of no return.

Last but not least, note what the prophet said.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark [charagma; (Greek charax) meaning to stake into or “stick into”] in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark…” — Rev. 13:16-17a

RFID poised for the big time in 2008

Next year will witness the spread of RFID applications into familiar, everyday settings, while consumer electronics, wireless technologies and security requirements will continue to benefit from the integration of RFID.

These are just some of the predictions from AIM Global, the worldwide industry trade association and self-proclaimed authority on automatic identification and mobility solutions.

Practical RFID applications will find their way into familiar settings, including sporting events, the latest toys and food safety, according to the trade association.

Next year’s Beijing Olympics will see RFID applications being used to track marathon runners to ensure race time accuracy, watched by sports fans holding tickets authenticated by the same technology.

This year’s highly publicized recalls of contaminated foods and unsafe toys will push firms to use RFID to immediately track the origins of compromised items, halting the production of potentially harmful goods.

2008 will also witness the increasing integration of RFID into mobile devices and consumer electronics, providing consumers and business users with new and more convenient services.

This technological marriage will result in multi-functional mobile devices that allow users to manage voice calls, email, text messages, multimedia, location-based information, personal finance accounts and many other aspects of everyday lives.

According to AIM Global, the convergence of RFID and other wireless technologies is now inevitable.

Elderly people suffering from Alzheimer’s should be electronically tagged and tracked by satellite, a UK charity has said.

The Alzheimer’s Society is to propose the measure, adding that the devices should be used only with a patient’s consent.

Early tests of tagging systems have given mixed results with some elderly people welcoming the fact they have more freedom while others felt that it was intrusive.

Malcolm Wicks, the science minister, was criticized earlier this year for calling for tagging for those with dementia, saying it would bring some security and independence to a frail group of people.

FBI Prepares Vast Database Of Biometrics

The FBI is embarking on a $1 billion effort to build the world’s largest computer database of peoples’ physical characteristics, a project that would give the government unprecedented abilities to identify individuals in the United States and abroad.

Digital images of faces, fingerprints and palm patterns are already flowing into FBI systems in a climate-controlled, secure basement here.

Next month, the FBI intends to award a 10-year contract that would significantly expand the amount and kinds of biometric information it receives

***WATCHMAN… CHIPPING ASIDE this is a very DANGEROUS way to produce MEAT for human consumption and it is NOT PROVEN OK FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION – I for one do not want to eat CLONED MEAT…

Producers Favor Tracking Cloned Animals With Implanted Micro-Chips

With the government set to allow food from cloned animals onto the market _ and consumers not yet convinced it’s safe _ meat and dairy producers are promoting an industry-led system to track cloned livestock.

The Food and Drug Administration is expected to give final go-ahead for the sale of cloned meat and milk before the end of the year. Food producers have agreed not to sell those products under a voluntary moratorium, though the FDA has said cloned animals are scientifically identical to their natural counterparts.

But that conclusion hasn’t convinced shoppers or meat and dairy producers who fear anxiety about cloned products could dampen sales. Dallas-based Dean Foods Co., which owns the Land O’Lakes and Horizon Organic brands, already said it will not sell milk from cloned cows. And a spokeswoman for meat producer Hormel Foods Corp. said Wednesday it has no plans to sell meat from cloned animals.

A September 2006 poll by the Pew Initiative on Food and Biotechnology found that 64 percent of Americans were uncomfortable with animal cloning. And research by the International Dairy Foods Association estimated the $20 billion dairy market could fall 15 percent if cloned milk is introduced.

In a move to head-off such a backlash, milk producers joined their peers in the meat and grocery industries to endorse a system to identify cloned animals.

***WATCHMAN… Just another excuse towards the MARK OF THE WORLD BEAST SYSTEM…

“Obviously, there are some public concerns about allowing milk from cloned cattle into the supply chain, and that’s why we’re supporting the tracking of these animals,” said Chris Galen, Vice President for the National Milk Producers Federation.

Under the plan, Viagen Inc. and Trans Ova Genetics the two primary U.S. cloning companies will implamt an electronic micro-chip identification tag into each cloned cow or pig sold.

Buyers must make a financial deposit with the cloning company which will only be returned after they verify the death or sale of the animal to a food producer. These customers must sign a pledge to market the animal as a clone.

***WATCHMAN… MONEY BACK will drive this EXCUSE FORWARD…

The high cost of cloning means the vast majority of animals will never make it directly to the table, said Trans Ova Genetics President David Faber.

***WATCHMAN… LIE! Why do it then? It is a PROFIT DRIVEN industry…

After making a $10,000 to $20,000 investment on one of these animals, it doesn’t make economic sense to put them into the food supply, Faber said. “The farmers and producers who use this technology are mainly interested in capturing genetic value to produce higher quality animals,” he said.

***WATCHMAN… From which the DANGEROUS GENES will be transmitted to the OFFSPRING that WILL BE EATEN… (PS: I AM A FORMER GENETICIST)

Trans Ova and Viagen have already produced more than 650 cloned animals for U..S. breeders, including copies of prize-winning cows and rodeo bulls. The companies said they don’t expect to produce more than a few hundred cloned animals per year in the near future.

One thing the companies won’t be able to do is identify the offspring of cloned animals. As Viagen President Mark Walton explained, “the database won’t track cloned offspring because they are not clones. They are the same as every other animal ever produced from two parents.”

***WATCHMAN… AGAIN NO NO NO — LIE! The DANGEROUS GENES will be transmitted to the OFFSPRING that WILL BE EATEN that will be in fact MIRROR CLONES… (PS: I AM A FORMER GENETICIST)

The plan received the backing from trade groups representing meat producers like Tyson Foods Inc. and food processors like Procter & Gamble Co.

However, the initiative did little to quiet complaints from consumer advocates and lawmakers who say the American public is not prepared for clone encounters in their local grocery store.

“It is much too soon for this controversial technology to be unleashed in the marketplace, especially without requiring it to be labeled,” said Wenonah Hauter, director of Food & Water Watch.

The FDA requires labeling of ingredients and additives that alter the nutritional content of foods. Since cloned animals are indistinguishable from naturally produced animals, the agency is not expected to require that they be labeled, though companies may decide to voluntarily label their products.

Lawmakers also pressed the FDA to delay lifting the moratorium on cloned foods until more studies are complete.

Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., added last-minute language to the government appropriations bill Tuesday directing the FDA to study the economic and trade impact of allowing cloned products on the market.

While the legislation does not explicitly bar the FDA from publishing the final assessment, it could pressure the agency to delay its release.

First medicine, now sports considers the chip – Manchester United looking at chipping players

Manchester United stars could be fitted with a tiny microchip to help Sir Alex Ferguson track their movements on the pitch.

A chip the size of a grain of rice could be embedded just under the skin of stars including Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville.

Satellites would track its exact position so that United’s training staff can pinpoint players’ movements during a match or training.

United bosses today confirmed the technology was being considered although no decision had been taken.

But they rubbished reports of a revolt by players who are concerned they could be tracked off the pitch shopping or nightclubbing.

It is believed the technology has been used in South America, where footballers have been kidnapped.

It has also been considered by the medical profession in the United States so doctors can access information if a patient is unconscious.
